Our Work.

In 2015, world leaders agreed to 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for a better world by 2030. SDG 5 aims to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. The progress of African women and girls is central to realisation of SDG 5 and all the global goals. We are curating a non-fiction anthology that documents African women’s perspectives on the Global Goals.

The WIPP List is a global community and email list for women, primarily women of African descent, who work or aspire to work in the public policy field. Our digital platform aims to foster a culture of information sharing and mentoring, and to empower current and emerging African female policy leaders.

For nearly a decade, Nigeria has failed to pass a Gender & Equal Opportunities (GEO) Bill. The Bill recognizes Nigerian women and girl’s fundamental rights to dignity and freedom from all forms of discrimination. We are advocating for the passage of this bill through activism, factivism and writivism. We know policies cannot change unless mindsets do— so we also host on and offline conversations about gender equality.
